Happy Announcement!

Angus and Amanda on their wedding day in September 2007

Announcement card I received from Angus and Amanda on Monday evening!

Even though my husband and I have three grandchildren, the announcement another precious baby from Angus and Amanda is very exciting all over again. On Monday night the proud, expectant parents shared the news with me. They then e-mailed my husband in the Sudan who rang me at daybreak on Tuesday to tell me the news!

Hi flmom;) the whole town is excited as Amanda was born and raised here and Angus has been here for fifteen years so they are both well known and loved. Thanks for popping in. (((Hugs)))

  6. Oh, congratulations! It must be great that they made it official too, so that you can share it with all your friends! In Sweden, people are reluctant to talk about it before it's gone past the third month, especially when it's the first child...

  7. Hi,

I came by your site through reading Lynda's blog. I happened on hers, I don't know how, but Africa has always seemed so wonderful to me, that I love reading blogs of people who live there.... uh, that's two, now. LOL

Anyway, I'm so pleased to read that you are a believer as well, so that makes it especially nice.

Congratulations on the forthcoming birth of yet another grandchild.

    God bless you!

  8. Hi Esther:) Thanks for the wishes. It is really blessed to have a fourth grandchild on the way - hubby and I only have two sons and a few years ago we thought we'd never be grandparents. Well, Debbie and John have promised to deliver another (later - their baby is only just 10 weeks old) and Angus and Amanda say this is the first of four. Yes, I loved the little card which of course I could use on my blog. (((Hugs)))

  10. Hi Jo, congrats on the news of your next grandchild, great to hear you and Lynda met up in Jo'burg, you both look so well. I have started following your blog as I thought I was already but apparently not! I try to reciprocate and follow those bloggers who are courteous enough to have my blog on their list so thanks!
You have a lovely home, we lived in diverse accomodation in Tanzania over 13 years there: from tents in mission stations to luxury houses in Dar and Iringa, from Swedish container houses in refugee settlements to local district housing in another refugee settlement, and I got used to it all! So I look forward to reading your posts - what's hubby doing in Sudan?
